The Claw Machine Trap

แนวคิด:

งานศิลปะที่พูดถึงทุนนิยมทางวัตถุผ่านการสะท้อนบ้านเมืองที่เสื่อมโทรมในขณะที่ บ้านเมืองและคุณภาพชีวิตถูกปล่อยประละเลย ทุนนิยมกลับเน้นไปที่การผลักดันให้ผู้คน ไล่ตามสิ่งที่เป็นกับดักของระบบ 

“ตู้คีบตุ๊กตา” กลายเป็นสัญลักษณ์ของการแสวงหาความฝันและความต้องการทาง วัตถุ ซึ่งเปรียบเสมือนการพยายามเอื้อมถึงสิ่งที่จับต้องไม่ได้ ทุนนิยมในที่นี้ถูกมองว่า เป็นกลไกที่สร้างความหลอกลวง ให้เชื่อว่าเรามีอํานาจในการควบคุมหรือได้มาซึ่งความ ฝันเหล่านั้น ทั้งที่แท้จริงแล้วมันอาจไม่ต่างจากการติดอยู่ใน “กับดัก” หรือ “เครื่องจักร” ที่ขับเคลื่อนด้วยผลประโยชน์เฉพาะกลุ่ม 

Concept:

This artwork addresses material capitalism through the reflection of urban decay. While cities and the quality of life are neglected, capitalism focuses on driving people to chase after traps set by the system. 

The “claw machine” becomes a symbol of the pursuit of dreams and material desires, representing the attempt to grasp something intangible. Capitalism here is portrayed as a mechanism of deception, leading us to believe that we have control or the ability to achieve those dreams. In reality, it may be no different from being caught in a “trap” or a “machine” fueled by the interests of a select few.
